Optic on SubCompact

I'm looking to put a RMR/Optic on a 43X.

Anyone running this or have an optic on another subcompact. If so, what did you go with.

Thanks.

In time I’m going to do an RMR cc on my 48MOS but when I do I’ll be sending it to Justsomedude to mill the slide so I don’t need a plate.

    First off, welcome back.

A lot of folks seem happy with the various "K" Holosun offerings, with the 507K being most common. If I were to put an optic on a 43X/48 sized gun I'd personally go with that or the compact version of the EPS.

Another to consider is the RMRcc. No first hand experience, but I've had a RMR on my G19 for going on 4 years without issue. At the current sale prices they are a good deal, kind of a ripoff IMO at full price.

Eagerly awaiting a Holosun EPS (Enclosed Pistol Sight) Carry red MRS to replace the open emitter 507K on my 48.

I've grown quite attached to the enclosed emitter of my 509 (which replaced a 507C) - since the open backed sights are lint traps and harder to keep clean.  With the 509, I drag my shirt across the rear cover glass and it's good to go.  The image isn't quite as good as when looking through a single layer of glass, but it's WAY better than through an open-emitter sight with its "sugar scoop" full of dust and lint.

The deal-breaker for me on the RMR family is that you have to pull them off, re-do all your loctite and torque settings, wait a day for your goo to cure, and re-zero just to change a battery.  I don't care if that's theoretically a year or more between batteries - that's just inconsiderate engineering.
