Kinda mood and activity dependent. I can't post YouTube links at the moment.
Metallica has a bunch of great intros. The Four Horsemen, For Whom the Bell Tolls and Master of Puppets rank up there. But the list could go on.

Down With the Sickness - Disturbed

Does Who Made Who even HAVE an intro?
U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name, Vertigo
Queen - Fat Bottomed Girls
Van Halen - Everybody Wants Some
And the Weakness-For-A-Rickenbacker-12-String-Sound: The Byrds - Feel a Whole Lot Better, Mr Tambourine Man, and Tom Petty Listen To Her Heart and American Girl.

Crazy Train Ozzy Osbourne
Stairway to Heaven Led Zeppelin
Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears (That opening bass line is an ear-worm and a half)

It got me to thinking of those kinds of songs. And there are two that, while the intro isn’t iconic or even very spectacular, the start of the song gives me goosebumps or even makes the hair on my neck stand up.

Pretty much starts with vocals. I guess because that song just HITS me. But the intro to that song gets a physical reaction pretty much every time.

Again, just the intro to that song gets me. Always loved it and loved the song.
More of a personal thing than the iconic song intros. The intros themselves aren’t even that special. But as soon as they start, my attention is somewhere else for a bit.
Dire Straits - Sultan Of Swing
Santana - Black Magic Woman
Cream - White Room - Sunshine Of Your Love
Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit
Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear the Reaper
Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight
Led Zeppelin - Stair Way to Heaven (surprised no one said this one yet)
Led Zeppelin - Whole lotta love - Its short, but that guitar rift....
Black Sabbath - War Pigs
Alice Cooper - Poison
Joan Jett - I love Rock N Roll ( same as Whole Lotta love...)
White Snake - Here I go again
Most all Santana Songs
Stones - Gimme Shelter
Metallica - Anywhere I Roam
"Nothing is safe from stupid." - Zee
Paint it Black is probably my favorite, followed by Sympathy for the Devil and Gimme Shelter..
Has anyone mentioned a song made after 2000?
Ozzy: Flying High Again
Motorhead; Ace of Spades
White Stripes: Icky Thump
Johnny Cash: Ring of Fire

If Van Halen's Eruption is the intro to the intro of their cover of the Kinks You Really Got Me, then both have to rate pretty high.
Beatles - Ticket to Ride (another hit on the 12-string Rick crack pipe)
Now, for Zee's condition that only the intro has to be badass. . .most radio stations seem to regard Queen's We Will Rock You - which I like - as the obligatory intro to We Are The Champions - which I really don't care for. . .almost to the point of wanting to phone in to request that they play the one and specifically NOT the other, JUST to leave those accustomed to hearing the double hanging.
