  Pictures would help.  Original? Sporterized?  There should be no bluing, they were parkerized originally.

  I believe the Mark I was modified for the Pederson device. I've seen a few but they are rare!!

  Well that explains no bluing I think it has been sporterised and the barrel changed it is a 30/06 still

  The sites are different for one and I cant find any markings on it it looks like the same length and the stock has checkering so its been changed sorry I have a crazy schedule you will see this post is 2:30 AM wake up time

  the checkering on your stock is similar to mine the action looks the same except mines a little more worn/ aged and mine doesn't have a peep site

  From what I see mine is the same are there any proof marks on your barrel

  It shot very well with the receiver sight and a Lyman. FS
