Guess what I just bought!

To celebrate the rebirth of the forum , I bought my first gun since. Well , not really , but it sounds good. :jester:

Bought something I've been wanting on Gunbroker. Filled a hole in MY collection.

Anyone wanna take a guess?

You had a hole? Must have been a small one. I didn't notice.

    Nope.

But I did have a Springfield Armory 1911A1 in 9mm. It got gutted and got a Remington Rand slide and USGI .45 parts.

    You guys are no fun!

A S&W Model 58. A fixed sight N-frame M&P-type service revolver in , .41 magnum of course. A Model 10 on steroids! Had a NIB nickeled SFPD marked version years ago , but had to sell during hard times. Got a few scratches , might have been a patrolmans sidearms. Not a safe queen. This one is a shooter. Got it from Lee Jarrett , the big boss at the S&W forum.

Whew, you had me worried. I thought you may have bought a .327 magnum or something! I too had a chance in the 80s to own a model 58 and am still kicking myself for letting it slip by.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Dept (Tampa area) in FLA carried them bad boys years ago, not many messed with them either. Congrats on your purchase. I'll bet it was more than the $250 for a slicked up one a gunsmith friend was gonna sell me back when:tissue::tissue::tissue:

Well , all good news brings bad news , sort of. I called my LGS to whom I'm having it shipped , and he informed me that he's going on vacation for 2 weeks after closing tomorrow. Called the seller and told him to hold off on shipping it till further notice. So I'm gonna have to wait at least two weeks to get my new toy!
