Mom passed away

bruchibruchi Senior MemberPosts: 2,581 Senior Member
And it hurts more than I ever imagined.

At 78 she still did yoga and tai chi, kept herself busy, was finally getting a lot better, gaining weight and strength after a bout of digestive problems that took her down to 90 pounds, took her Wednesday to Costco to shop which she had not done in some time, was in great spirits too.

Friday morning she woke up in pain and went down from there, it was quite sudden and it took us by surprise. I did not get a chance to say good bye, I loved her dearly and miss her.
If this post is non welcomed, I can always give you a recipe for making "tostones".

Very sorry to hear of your loss Bruchi. Not much else I can say other than don't keep it bottled up. Guys always try to put on a stong front. Nothing will make it easy to deal with but I think letting the emotions flow does ease the pain.

Bruchi, I know what you're feeling; we lost Mom two years ago to cancer and it still stings. Someone told me that you don't ever get over it, you just get used to it, and I suppose that's right.

The Wife and I got a lot of support from our family here, so please know that we're here when you need us. You're in our prayers.

I have to second what LM said, we lost both parents in 2010, very suddenly, and it's a hurt that doesn't heal quickly, just know you have friends and family that know your pain and you aren't alone in these trying times.
